T.N. BANDYOPADHYAY, Ph.D.
PROFESSOR
 

Professor Bandyopadhyay received the degree of Ph.D. in Philosophy from Rabindra Bharati University in Kolkata and joinded the Department of Philosophy, Jadavpur University as member of the Faculty in 1972.

Professor Bandyopadhyay's research interests lie in the areas of Ethics, both theoretical and practical and particularly in the areas of Kantian Ethics. His research interests also lie in the area of Existentialism. Apart from these areas, he is also academically interesed in the Philosophy of Mind. Professor Bandyopadhyay is involved in literary activities and is a creative composer and poet in his own right. He has been holding a weekly Workshop on Ethics in the Department of Philosophy since 2000 and is involved in innumerable outreach and voluntary social activities.
