SRILEKHA DATTA, M.A.


 

Professor Datta completed her M.A. in Philosophy from Jadavpur University and joined the Department as Lecturer in 1971.

Her research interests lie in the areas of Indian Philosophy , particularly in Nyaya-Vaisesika and Vedanta Philosophy, in Indian Philosophy of Language and Philosophical Logic. Outside Philosophy, she is involved in the study of Literature, specially, Sanskrit, Bengali and English Literature. She is also a keen musician and takes deep interest in the beautiful and the sacred.
