RATNA DUTTA SHARMA, Ph. D.
 

Professor Dutta Sharma received the degree of Ph.D. in Philosophy from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and joined Jadavpur University as member of the faculty, Department of Philosophy.

Professor Dutta Sharma's research interests lie in the areas of Indian Logic, Indian Epistemology, Hindu Ethics, Medical Ethics and social and political philosophy. She is currently involved in several group and individual research projects like 'Sruti as the foundation of Hindu social and moral tradition', 'Development of the Nyaya concept of Nigrahasthana' and 'Logic in Carakasamhita'.

Professor Dutta Sharma has presented papers in various seminars, conferences and workshops and lectured in several refresher courses in and out of Kolkata.
